Laboratorio Control extends its ENAC accreditation to include drinking water and swimming pool water analyses
Laboratorio Control has begun the year by obtaining several extensions to its technical scope from ENAC (Entidad Nacional de Acreditación). The latest extension focuses on analyzing water intended for consumption, as well as water from swimming pools. The Physical-chemical department has been working intensively to achieve accreditation in new tests, to adapt to compliance with Royal Decree 902.
Specifically, the new scope of the Laboratorio Control, focused on the environmental area, presents the following novelties:
- Analysis of turbidity in drinking water, incorporating the modification of the new turbidity limit in accordance with the requirements of RD 902/2018.
- Similarly, the new limits of quantification have been adapted in accordance with the requirements of RD 902/2018 for the following parameters in drinking water: lead, benzene, 1.2-dichloroethane and tetrachloroethylene.
- Extension of the scope of pool water analysis, including the detection of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacterium.
